Dusting the Alps behind, the first high alpine snows of autumn contrast with a Langhe hill town and vineyards near Barolo at the beginning of the vendemmia (grape harvest).
The beauty of the Barolo area is increased in autumn to the extent that sometimes it’s difficult not to make an image look “Photoshopped”. This image has had some adaptive contrast (gradient) enhancements but, apart from that, not a great deal. Yes, it really is a stunning place to photograph and one I hope to return to in due course. If that involves sipping a local wine or two, so be it!
